What is Framsnakk?
Framsnakk is a place where adults in Tromsø can practice their Norwegian skills. The initiative is best suited for people between A1 and B2 levels. We mainly speak Norwegian, but can also translate via English. Each session lasts two hours and we prepare some material for each session, which is aimed at the four basic skills (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).
It is free to participate and you do not have to commit to anything. We are not a course nor a language café. Framsnakk wants to be appropriately challenging, but at the same time a safe place to learn Norwegian.
When and where is Framsnakk?
Mondays 17.00 – 19.00 we arrange a talk in the school library at Minnelundvegen 15 (Tromsø International School).
We meet most Mondays during the semester, but for updates please sign up for our mailing list by sending us an email. We send out two types of emails: Start time for the semester and in cases where we have to cancel.
Who is Framsnakk?
Framsnakk consists of Bård and Ole-Christian, two Norwegian-teachers that do this in our spare time. We have done this sort of activity for more than 3 years and have more teaching-experience.
How is Framsnakk?
It is an informal atmosphere where we talk about different topics that come up, help each other and answer questions. We also use texts, language tasks, writing tasks, games and physical activities to make the learning varied. Everyone is welcome to try and you don’t have to show up exactly at 5 pm if it doesn’t work with your schedule.
